Veggie Dogs, what's everyone like?

After much deliberation, and wanting to cut down on fats, etc. I've decided to give vegetarian hot dogs a try.
Seems to be plenty of brands out there, all claiming to be the best. What does everyone like here? And which ones
should be avoided?

I tried them once, they were ok. Forgot the brand, picked them
up in a Pathmark supermarket. The same company also made
veggie ground meat. I like Morningstar veggie burgers better,
original and Chipotle.

OK meat lovers... we got the message. Really no need for you to respond. Some of us however are veggie for particular health reasons. So how about a break and let the veggie folks figure out what they can and cannot eat and what is and is not tolerable.

But that would be no fun, besides this is Foo. You're doing great, usually by now the string has degenerated into comments about sex, violence and other weird topics.

Not Dogs aren't bad. But like with veggie burgers, it's less about the meat substitute and more about the condiments and toppings.

Around here, the specialty would be sweet hot relish, mayo, and celery salt.

I miss bacon...

So you disguise the substance you are eating with condiments?
What if "Healthy Choice"starting making their hotdogs out of poop?

If it contains "soy" and is not organic, it's going to be genetically modified. Read the label. Most foods are not marked non-GMO. California was fighting for all foods to be labeled but was defeated by Big Agri Business.

I think Applegate has turkey and chicken hot dogs. They don't have nitrates which is in Nathans and Hebrew National not to mention the other bad ingredients. Kudos to you for trying to eat healthy.

I get the whole vegetarian thing, but why eat foods that try to mimic meat? There are lots of fantastic vegetarian options that have to be more palatable than whatever is in "Not Dogs".
