Our little "Stinky" cat is gone.

Our Blue point Siamese kitty "Stinky Cat" died comfortably today 1/20/2013 at 3:00 A.M. of old age. She was 16. (human years) She died comfortably in her sleep on a heated kitty bed with a cool bowl of water, a bowl of food, and overloaded with love. I sure hope she gets to take it all with her on her journey. I'm both happy and sad, sad 'cause shes gone, but happy 'cause she went on to a better place.

I feel for you. It sounds like the cat had a great owner and fine life.

So very sad to hear of your loss! My deepest condolences! 16 years is a long life, and you'll always have the fond memories!

…but now would be a wonderful opportunity to get a replacement to fill the void! You'd be doing the feline world a great service, and it sounds like you need someone to take her place! Better still, get two!
Good luck and keep us informed!

You gave her the good life. We should all be so fortunate to go out that easy. Do you have other pets that got to say goodbye to her?

Gitarzan, thanks man.
Wil Davis, the void will never be filled.
skijor, she lived her life out with two familys which included our two daughters, my wife, myself, AND her son Binkey and her two grandsons Promethius and Bob. Binkey cried almost the whole day yesterday, we were wondering why.

aww, sorry to hear it. I lost my 20 year old cat a few months back. So tough... but like you said, when they're old like that, it's bittersweet to see them go.

Odd ad placement.

But in all honesty, this is a very sad day and poor Binkey and the rest of your family. I know when my cat, Khali died. She was 3 weeks short of being 17 and I found her just outside my house in the bushes (since I was 15). I was a wreck for the rest of the week. My condolences..

Sorry to hear it. Losing a pet is hard. I love cats, Siamese in particular. 16 years is a good life.

Our first cat Lucky lived to the ripe old age of 21! He was a good (but slightly evil) kitty.

Sorry to hear it, but sounds like you provided for Stinky admirably.

Our oldest cat, Bird (named after Larry; her brother was Shaq (RIP)), is closing in on 20, looks her age, and probably won't be around too much longer. She gets special care and all the love until she's gone.

Stinky was going strong, she was eating drinking, pooping peeing, running and playing one day, stopped eating the next day, three days later she died. Vet said it was def old age that played a cruel trick on her.

They are certainly the smartest (or close to) and the most expressive cats. Best cat I ever had was a little tuxedo half-mese.

and very vocal! She was the only one of four cats that would remind us that it was feeding time!

She started out as "Stoopid kitty" 'cause she used to stare at the wall meowing for hours on end, but one day she jumped up on my youngest daughters lap and my youngest quickly caught the scent of poop, turns out she had a case of the runs and didn't clean up so well! My youngest yelled out,"Ewwwww! shes Stinky!"

So sorry to hear Stinky's passing. I had a Siamese pass well before her time so I know what you're going through. After a few months and a lot of searching, we found a breeder and worked out a three-for-two deal. They really become part of the family, don't they??

Very sorry to hear this. Kittehs who live that long with people aren't pets, they're family.

So Sorry to read of your loss. It never gets easier with time, just more familiar. My cats have a large heated cat pad they can lay on and warm up, and the feral gets this glassy eyed look when she's on it. You can tell she's wishing she had that when she lived outside.
