I hate that some a***h** didn't put "This Side Up" on my credit card and I almost missed a Chainlove deal because it wouldn't accept my friggin card with an "L" in the number. WFT.

But I really do like the folks who distill Norseman Gin right here in Minneapolis!

I hate it when people think my antipathy towards February is construed as directed at TS Eliot. If that's not correct, well I hate that I got to bed way too late last night.

It stems from RHM posting pictures of a cat grave marker, in the "show Me You Cat" thread. Cat lovers got upset and this was the result.......

So what we're saying is that Tom hates RHM. It's understandable - especially before one of his saddles breaks in.

Dude is basically the charlie sheen of the vintage bike community. It should also be noted that indifference to animals is one of the markers of a dangerous serial killer. I know that because I saw it on Criminal Minds. Are we certain that Rudi's saddles are leather?

TS Eliot was more of a fan of May. As in May/December romances... He (secretly) "married" his secretary at age 70 and she was just 30 -while he was still married to his first wife who had been filed away in a "mental institution" for a decade or so already. What a fawkin gentleman!

My wife had an interesting idea for an all natural vegan saddle. Potentially very interesting. But it will be at least several months before it goes anywhere.

I don't hate all animals, honest. Mostly just cats. And cat owners who don't clean up after their cats.

Are there enough vegans near you to make them?

Cat mess is generally restricted to their house...it's dog owners who drive me bonkers. I love our dog, but I also don't take him into restaurants and cafes with me. I also keep him on leash, even though he's about the gentlest dog someone could meet. He's still a dog, and other people don't know he's a sweet heart. They don't need to be intimidated. Some of the dog owners at the dog park are also beyond oblivious. No - when your dog is drawing blood it's not playing! Even worse are the people who ascribe human traits to dogs - like the people at the dog park who go nuts if one of dogs engage in humping. One Mensa called my dog a ******.

I've also never had a cat close line me with a leash on a MUP.

People who hate cats scare me.

A dog you can be all sorts of mean/cruel to, even be abusive and it will still love you and come back for more. Dogs are bred to take this kind of abuse heaped on them and still be your best friend.

Be mean or cruel to a cat even once and it will remember you for life and never want much to do with you ever after. You can't get away with horrible behavior around cats.

So I make my own observations about people who prefer dogs to cats...

Humping is the same as jumping, or eating their own ****- they just "gotta." But you stop em from doing it.

Dogs can be ********. So can cats.

Well, I understand your points and agree up to a point. But if we're talking about actual animal cruelty, what's the point? I grant you that many pet owners don't recognize it for what it is, but you don't seriously think anyone in favor of it, do you?
