There are cameras around the finish line - hopefully they got pictures of the idiot(s) who did this.

Holy Crap!!! And here I was feeling sad for missing my first Patriot's Day in several years after just moving out of Boston in December. I hope it turns that some media are over reacting as that is scary.

One explosion could have been an accident but two explosions happening when you have a mass of runners and spectators ?

And a report of a third possible explosion.

I just read that too... that it was a controlled detonation by the bomb squad.

Here's a list of images from deadspin. There are some tough pictures along with a .gif form the finish line showing the explosion.

Given the state of the world, perhaps more insane to think that it couldn't happen here.

Yeah, the news just reported that many injured have had arms/legs amputated at local hospitals, and there were no controlled explosions, they say the remaining bomb will most likely be examined to see if they can find out how/who built it.

Witnesses say bombs were placed in trash cans along the route and another unconfirmed source (from Boston) says a device was also discovered at the JFK library.

Just confirmed by police that a bomb was located at the JFK Library.
