I remember it well. And John Hall later went on to Congress.

You must be in big trouble....you buy a new bike or something? My anniversary is coming up Saturday, so I may have to follow your lead and use that song.

At the time, I had my trusty Varsity, and N+1 hadn't entered my mind just yet.

This 1st song from Meddle was my introduction to Pink Floyd. Any of you guys remember the Pink Floyd movie filmed at coliseum ruins in Pompeii ? It made the theater rounds for a midnight showing while I was in high school. It was good for the 1st 10 minutes, but even in our altered state it got boring. I found it while looking for this song - 2 parts:

Crap...the studio version HD YouTube video wouldn't play on a 3rd party site. Here's a live version:

I'd call that one pro......Even though unions don't always get what they want.

I'd call this one sarcastic.

Not that kind of a union, but one of Blondie's great songs from '79.

A couple of songs by the Cars from the late 70's, a time that I'm more partial to them, and towards songs with Benjamin Orr on lead vocals.

I tended to like his vocals the best as well, I'm surprised this B Orr song is so far down on their hits list. Another cancer victim no longer with us.

This is a great song from 1973. It was on the radio around the time I started listening to rock & roll at the age of 13. I think its a really neat song. Id completely forgotten about it then heard it in a spinning class about 10 years ago and realized how much I loved it.

In going through these songs, I was surprised to see a lot of other songs that were done by the group War,
but I think this one is by far the best. It was on the radio in the summer of 1973 which is the summer I
started listening to rock & roll music.
