Posting Fri night, heading out of town for a brother bike ride early tomorrow in our hometown, which we've all left. Parents are deceased so we don't get back often. I wish this Bruce song was 90's, cause it's in my head : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=77gKSp8WoRg
Fun lovin' song for the criminal element

My daughter played this song regularly when it came out, and the song stuck in my head, making me think really hard about my children whenever I heard it.

This songs intro samples so heavy from How Soon Is Now it could probably go on the covers thread, but I like this club hit

Silverchair, Israel's Son. Silverchair were an Australian grunge band with a sound that was obviously influenced by Nirvana.

Like Australia, Canada seems to have a disproportionate number of good bands per capita. Here's another Canuck group with a 90's song that's hard not to like:
Grimes is my new Canadian inerest - coming up MMM

I remember hearing Sugar Ray performing "The Captain Morgan song" ........Every morning, you say?......... Maybe if you serve it in a tall glass with ice and Coca Cola.

Praising 7 Songs
This song is just outside of the 90's (2001) and it's such a cool song that it could almost qualify for the covers thread. "Praise Chorus" has lines from 7 other songs that mean something to AZ band Jimmy Eat World.
After the second stanza, references to seven songs become the "praise chorus" of the title. The first line is sung continuously in the background before the other six are sung over it.[SUP][1][/SUP]

- Tommy James and the Shondells - "Crimson and Clover" - "Crimson and clover, over and over", sung continuously in the background.
- Madness - "Our House" - "Our house in the middle of the street."
- The Promise Ring - "Why Did Ever We Meet" - "Why did we ever meet?"
- Bad Company - "Rock 'n' Roll Fantasy" - "[Started] my rock 'n' roll fantasy."
- They Might Be Giants - "Don't Let's Start" - "Don't, don't, don't let's start."
- The Promise Ring - "All of My Everything" - "Why did we ever part?"
- Mötley Crüe - "Kickstart My Heart" - "Kickstart my rock 'n roll heart."

This song just barely makes the 90's cut, released in '89 but became a hit in '90, and it has a sort of haunting sound to it as well.
