Hate to be the callous bastard here, but since the 'family' is spending what inheritance there is now... where's your cut?? I think you should claim your slice of that pie by taking that 52" plasma that was bought using your mom's ATM card and then break the fingers of the person who bought it in the first place
Also think you should start keeping track of all expenses and start billing them for your time.

Wow, that is sickening. I agree with others that you need to seek legal options. Is your Mom still in a good state of mind? Maybe she can grant you the power of attorney (exclusively?) Open a new bank account for your Mom and have the money sent there instead?

Good luck. if I were you I wouldn't count your siblings as family anymore.

I don't think there will be any inheritance for anybody. The more I dig, the more unsecured debt I find. The only thing I *think* I can save here is my mom's dignity during her last years.

I'm completely appalled with the contents of this thread and the squalor your mother's "caretakers" (a complete overstatement) have forced you mother to live in.

You sir are a godsend and I salute to you for that.

Appalling treatment for the person who brought her "care givers" into the world. I salute you in your efforts.

Rube, **** the house, take your mom home with you ASAP. Don't say you cant because you can, shes your mom! If you leave her there YOU will be the one responsible for her death. Sorry dude, but your Puerto Rican, you know this is the way it should be.
