May 2014 Photo Contest - Time to Vote!

Tuxbailey and I have each decided on two themes for May.

The rules are simple:
-You must be the photographer
-One entry per month, per category. A poster may submit one photo that meets the criteria of both topics.
-Try making it a recent image.
For voting list in order your favorite 3 pictures by poster name

1. 3 points
2. 2 points
3. 1 point

No voting for yourself.

Voting will run till 4th of June.

Tuxbailey's topic will be "Weather Events"
Mine will be "Left Behind/Cast Aside"

I see "one entry per month per category" and there are two categories. The option being a single entry that covers both categories.

Yeah, I wondered about that too.

In the past we have been allowed to submit 2 photos if there were 2 categories. And voters would select the person and which photo they were voting for. So, for example, a vote might be jdon + "Weather Events". A second vote could be jdon + "Left Behind/Cast Aside". A third vote could be for someone else's photo.

So I suggest you repost your photos. They were good.

We needed more pictures. The way things were tapering off, I figured it wouldn't hurt to let people do one for each category.

I didn't read well enough, I take my words back. The winners own the contest for the month so what they say is the law.

Category of "Left Behind/Cast Aside". This is the view from a tiny little window I found visiting Alcatraz.

Not much in the way of storms and tempests around here so I'll go with "left behind" for now. I bought these cast iron school bench ends, bought special hardwood and made the seat many years ago, and now things have gone their natural cycle.

As I change locks on new foreclosure now owned by the bank and document condition at time of first entry. Some are clean...others, not so much.

Did the lighting bolt really go through the cloud? I am impressed that you managed to catch it.

Yes it did and there was so much lightening I was sure to get something. It was so bad I was worried about my safety, the rain stung.

Left Behind/Cast Aside

The shed skin ... left behind/cast aside by the Warty Prowfish, a very sedentary Australian fish ...

Not for this competition, but here's the Warty Prowfish ... it's alive, it's just resting ...
