June Photo Contest - We have a winner!

My apologies for the delay. I haven't checked the forum for a while and missed my turn.

I have decided on the theme *Sign* for June.

It s pretty open to interpretation. It could be a road sign with a dramatic back drop, or a protester with a powerful sign, or gesture made by someone. It doesn't have to be man made as long as it is signaling something. For example, a dead tree pointing to something, somewhere.

The rules are simple:
-You must be the photographer
-One entry per month
-Try making it an image from the last year.

Have fun and get your cameras out, good luck.

Edit: Our winner is lamplight!

Here is my entry - taken last weekend.

In addition, here is a bonus image which I found funny to see on my street with green grass all around.

This shot's probably a bit older than ideal, though I can't remember exactly when I took it. Shot with my Canonet QL17 GIII and most likely Kodak Portra, but I'm not sure.

It is a couple years old, but I can't re-take it as the fighting academy is no longer there. Now it is replaced with "Just Puppies" which...

Too Old For The Contest ...

Not for the contest because it is too old ... but a sign that made me smile ... Can you read French?

Also too old for the contest ... the sign for a cafe ...

And also too old for the contest ... the For Sale sign on the right ...

My high school French is a bit weak, but I think it reads something like:

"Focus binoculars at 50 metres." ... (Also: "Les chiens sont interdits.")

I'd also like to change mine, if possible. By chance I just happened to get a picture yesterday of the same man! So here's a much more recent entry.
