Netflix Binging

Shouldn't Netflix come with some sort of warning? First it was zombies, then on to some politician dude, after that it was a guy and a kid making Meth, and now the Killing. I CAN NOT stop watching this series. A support group must be activated. Someone please call Obama on this.

I've gone through so many series on Netflix... Nowadays I almost won't even start watching a show unless there's at least 3 or 4 seasons on there. They need to get the seasons that aired end of last year/beginning of this year!

You need to start watching 70s Grindhouse movies right away. These movies have it all: Bad acting, bad production values, and action that is totally off the wall. In other words,
great entertainment. May I suggest you begin with something light duty, such as Cleopatra Jones?

I watch NF on Linux Mint 17, though it is not native. Wine supports the codecs required to get it going on IE.

have netflix binged but it has always been on a particular genre (westerns, documentaries, film noir, etc) or actor/actress vs a teevee style (shorter running time) series.
just have never gotten into any of them from sopranos to breaking bad. have asked myself if i would be worse off having never seen any of these series and the answer is
"no." now if i had never seen, for example, american beauty, lawrence of arabia, the big sleep, rear window or la dolce vita, the answer is yes. i suppose i consider the
best movies art and everything else is merely entertainment. art feeds the soul and i guess i get enough entertainment from bike riding.

I get sucked into bingeing series on a semi-regular basis. Don't start watching True Detectives if you don' t want to get caught up in another one.

Might not be everyone's cuppa tea, but also binged Battlestar Galactica, Lost, and Game of Thrones.

wah, i love cowboy bebop! i've been wanting to re-watch it for a while now. i wish netflix had MORE-- knights of the zodiac, escaflowne, sailor moon to name a few.

BUT at least they have sword art online and kill a kill! i'm always open to suggestions from a fellow anime lover to another ^_^

it's okay. this is the era of not having cable. seriously, why would i pay $40 for a ton of channels i don't even want to watch?? i pay $9/month for netflix and i watch everything i want to. i also have prime, and that's $80/year (i know it's more now) but prime has other advantages (free books/free shipping/etc).

how do you binge your television? Tivo?

You're missing out on an addiction. Honestly there's so much crap on there that I often find myself browsing for quite some time before I find something to settle on as background noise... but when you find a new, to you, tv show that they have all of, it becomes a godsend.

I have trouble finding movies on Netflix that I want to watch, and my wife ridicules me for some of the disks that I get in the mail.

BUT there are some TV series on there that I would like to have the time to watch. A few years ago I got interested in "Battlestar Galactica" (2004) and watched all of it. This is the first that I have gotten so intensely interested in all the way to the end. I was really interested in "Lost" for the first few years, until the writers ran out of story and started making up crazy stuff. I've been wondering what I could find on Netflix that I would get interested in again. I went all the way through "Farscape" and it was interesting in its own way, but wasn't another BSG. A lot of recent series are very popular such as "Breaking Bad" but it doesn't seem to interest me that much. I'll keep looking.

What is bike?

In in all seriousness I haven't truly "binged" since college. I like life outside the television box.
