Hey FOO, vibes needed

I do not post in here much anymore, but I wanted to share a story with ya'll and post a link.

This Spring, a good friend of ours came down with what was thought to be the flu. Told to rest, hydrate, etc. A day went past and she got worse, back to dr. Same thing, flu, rest, hydrate. Next day, took a fall due to dizziness and weakness, husband took her to ER. They could not figure out what going on, ran some tests, found a mass in her chest, turns out that the flu was actually a strep infection that got into her blood, went septic and turned into necrotizing fascitis.

They removed her left pectoral and upper arm muscles that had died, and she was in a coma for weeks, fighting for her life against infection. On dialysis, had a tracheotomy, etc. Touch and go for weeks.

She lost her hands and feet to the disease while she was still in a coma.

She awoke from her coma to a completely changed life.

After months of therapy and rehab, she is now at home again. Was allowed to come home in September after going hospital in late February.

Now comes the hard part, adjusting to this new life. She needs prosthetics and her insurance will only cover very basic ones.

Her friends, of which I am proud to be one, and our neighbors have rallied around this family with support from day one. Now, we are trying to help them raise the $200,000.00 it will take to get her the arms and legs she needs to help her regain some of her lost life.

Thanks for reading this far. Please keep her and her family in your thoughts, prayers, vibes. Send some Foo energy her way and if you can, please give a bit to help ease the burden on this family.

This woman is amazing, she worked so hard in rehab that people that only lost one or two limbs were inspired by her. Her husband basically lived at the hospital for months and her two sweet boys are incredible in how they love on their mom no matter what.

I am attaching a Go Fund Me link, please give if you can.

Oh man, I can't even imagine. Sounds like she has a great support system at least. I will definitely make a donation to the cause. Hugs & prayers going to her and her family.

You're a great friend jsharr.

I do not know how to do that, but if you can post the story there, that would be cool. We would love for this to go viral!
