Yeah. Ferris has a special place in my heart, since I was in school in Chicago back when he was enjoying his senior year running around Chicago. It was sooooooo cool- it made everyone want to run out of school for a day and clown around. *sigh*

I actually went to Chicago to do as much of the Ferris Bueller things I could do. Art Institute of Chicago (while listening to the Smiths), stock market, Sears tower, etc etc etc. Went to the Bulls game instead of Cubs (winter). When are you gonna hook me up with MJ, Koffee?

Oh... may not happen right now. I don't think he's in town. I haven't seen him around. What's up with that? He's got family and all here, doesn't he?

One of my favourite scenes from Ferris Bueller is where the school principle's (Mr Rooney) secretary says to him,-

"Oh my Mr Rooney, for a momement there, you sounded just like Dirty Harry.."

Unless you are an audience member and told when to laugh and clap or they have what they call as canned laughter.

I think they have those mics that echo. Some idiot will laugh at anything, and it makes the sound seem like there's 50 people instead of one. Rarely have I done more than break a slight smile at the banter at any of the talk show banter. Jimmie Kimmel is the worst of the worst.

I don't know how he does it either. I saw Sting on there Friday (I think). I was like "huh?".

Weird.

I know, the list is incredible, I've seen Tatoo (they're a little kinky alright), Zero 7, Frou Frou, on and on. I turn sound off and listen to music until I see what I want on the show, I hate doing that.

I keep telling people that it's virtually impossible to be funny all the time, which is why it's SO ANNOYING when these FM radio breakfast shows try to be funny for 3 hours a day, 5 days a week!! It can't be done, so don't even try!! Just put the bloody music back on

Letterman's got all those writers getting paid gazillions of bucks, and I can barely crack a smirk during his opening monologue

'Virtually impossible' means it's still possible.

I miss Adam and Wil. Jay and the Doctor simply don't compare. Still better than the buffoons on commercial FM, but Adam and Wil set the bar impossibly high.

yeah, just like the girl in Dumb and Dumber telling Jim Carey that the chances of her going out with him were a million to one, to which Carey replied: "so, you're saying there's a chance"
