It is me, sitting in a 2002 from the late 70's which another mechanic had just repaired the exhaust on, and he asked me to get in, go up, and rev it up so he could look and make sure it wasn't leaking or still having any other problems.

No back story, I just look for something with a science fiction bent to it. Sharp eyed forum members "of a certain age" (cbadrider, I'm looking at you)
will recognize this being as one of the Invaders from the 5th Dimension, from the first season of the old "Lost in Space" show. This is when that series
did some really good science fiction, and well before it decayed into what amounted to a comedy show.

Mine is a character from a novel I'm writing. It was originally going to be a graphic novel, but because I'm lazy I realized I would never draw that many pages. So I decided to write it out instead. But because it was originally meant to be a graphic novel, I drew a lot of pictures just working out the character designs and settings. So this is Nia, drawn in watercolor and pencil. I wasn't happy with the finished product, but I kind of like how it looks when cropped and tiny.

Another drawing of her:

And a more recent drawing where she looks quite a bit different. This wasn't originally meant to be her, so that probably accounts for some of the differences.

I've included cycling movies in my movie collection. I was surprised when looking at a Breaking Away reunion picture on line... at how much I resemble one of the actors.

The one I normally use is this:

I have complete simple syndactyly of the 2nd and 3rd toes on both feet making me a web-foot freak. I'm also in some pretty distinguished company including Ashton Kutcher, Dan Akroyd and Joseph Stalin
Also, Marilyn Monroe was rumored to have polydactyly that manifested as an extra toe. I also had a persian cat that had polydactyly (6 toes on 3 feet, 7 on the 4th) who would sit on my dad's chest and suck her thumb.
My current one I found quite by accident and since I ran 2 sprint triathlons this year and plan to keep going, I thought I'd throw it up for giggles.

Mine is self explanatory....
I'm a member of a Masonic lodge here in Richmond, VA and am the Senior Warden (i.e. kind of like the VP of an organization). It is a great fraternity that is very historical and traditional. I can honestly and sincerely tell you all that it is NOT some weird conspiracy type of organization or secret society with bizarre rituals involving pigs blood, skulls, goats, etc... Historically, it goes back to the Old Testament with the building of King Solomon's Temple. You had Entered Apprentices (1st Degree), Fellow Crafts (2nd Degree), and Master Masons (3rd Degree). It is quite fascinating when you read some of the history, and look back as to who was a Freemason back in the day.

Very very nice!!! That is a Past Master's pocket watch. Once your Grandfather served his year as Master of the lodge, he became a Past Master and most likely received the pocket watch at the end of the year. Very valuable and sentimental - especially with the name on the face as numerals!
