Mostly local ones on radio. The car dealer commercials are the worst. There is another from a family owned mattress company. Father started with this lecture in a sing song type voice. Now all his kids are following suit. The have one lecture about 2 things people hate about commercials. I feel like calling them and tell them they left one out. Then there is the Dinovite commercials (national) absolutely disgusting!

Most TV commercials are OK. Yeah maybe kit kat is a little annoying but not too bad. Target has the best commercials.

One of my all time favorite is this GAP commercial

I hate the 2-minute pharmaceutical ones that tell the benifits of the drug for 15 seconds and the side-effects for 1:45. I timed one, by the way.

It's a local commercial... a local heating and AC company... with this damn jingle that they just throw at you... and it sticks in your head... they run the darn commercial in brief spots all during the morning news... on about 3 of the local channels... Incredibly annoying. "ASI the white glove guys... " ARRRRRG.

Second after that is anything Progressive, with "Flo." OK, your 15 minutes is up... now disappear. Plus I can't help but think that any company with that many ads on TV has got to have a huge advertising budget... which means the consumer is paying for it somehow.

I can't help but wonder how much cheaper all insurance might be if they didn't barrage us with ads.

I quit watching TV years ago when "reality TV" tripe started taking over.

What REALLY bugs me though, is when I'm streaming "The Daily Show", and they stuff 5 commercials into the space between two segments of the show, and 2/5 are the same damned commercial repeated!

Yeah the drug commercials suck. In fact there is one on right now (watching the Steeler game). Cialis. Why is it all of those old dudes have such young hot looking women?

The other one is car commercials of cars preforming the impossible.

To answer your question: Money, and the power that comes with it. Women are naturally attracted to this. Marketing people know this,
and they will certainly cash in on it.

On the car, and pickup truck commercials, always have that disclaimer, in very tiny letters, warning that this was performed by a professional, on a closed course,
and you should not attempt it. Didn't Ford have one for trucks some years back, where the big, bada** ford pickup burst through a living room wall?

Tool commercials. Yes, you too can be as macho as big tony here, if you buy this set of wrenches.

What's the erectile dysfunction ad, where the older couple end up in the backyard, looking at the sunset,, in old fashioned bathtubs?

Anything that involves singing. I took an elective course in media and advertising, decades ago. One of the things learned: If you have nothing to
say about a product, sing about it.

But there are some stunts with cars that are impossible to perform even by professionals. They are done with special effects.

There were political commercials for Tom Cotton. After them, most standard commercials seem pretty decent. They are over now.

Straight sex in every other commercial is ok, just can't deal with that one gay commercial, huh?

Personal injury lawfirms with their fake compassion and insurance co. "bad-guy" spiel. Also (and this is probably local / regional) there's a late night commercial from a bankrupcy attorney saying "I see you're up too" and "you need your sleep" - so let him handle your problems via bankrupcy so you can get your sleep. It runs over & over after 1:00 AM.

I usually have a secondary interest when watching TV. The commercials are so numerous, I go to the other programming during commercials - and hate it when both are in add mode. I am OK with some tech & car ads that use good music in their commercials...seeing more of that all the time

I hate them all. They appeal to the inanity of the general public. It's all about getting us to buy stuff we don't need because the advertising creates a "need" in us.

The smug Subaru radio spots. Especially the one where the guy talks about driving through the "mud and the rain" going up to his country house.... in other words, all of them. And I am a former and probable future subaru owner.

For me it's the Infiniti Christmas commercial. The young white guy sees a Q50 go by and then sees a white Santa and gets an idea. Then he totally sucks up, and is successful when white Santa comes through on Christmas morn with a key fob under the tree and Q50 in the driveway. The white guy slips in the snow a bit on the way to see the Q50, I want him to fall and die. Stupid, stupid, stupid!!!

There are many commercials I like. One of my favorites is the Lay's Potato Chip where the girl waves a chip in front of the hungry white guy, then smashes his head into the train window. Haha, I love the smile on her face as his head hits the pane.

Edit: Especially the ones on cable TV. You're already paying for the service, so now you're paying to see commercials?!?
