Drumroll, please...The news you've all been waiting for.

As you know, UA and I have been following the dream with our recent purchase of a bike shop. We have registered our name and started completing the mountains of paperwork to make this dream a reality. I have FINALLY been given permission to share details with you all.

Our first task in this process was to choose a name. We went through several interesting and fun options, but none of them seemed right. We wanted a name that fits the community, as well as tells a little about ourselves. I was looking through some old posts on BF and ran across several made by our good friend, MV. After his passing, UA shared just how much the friendship he developed with so many BF members, including MV, helped him through some pretty tough times and encouraged both of us in our adventure together. In the end, we have decided that he left us with the most perfect name for a bike shop. In honor and memory of Modo Vincere, we are excited to announce that...

Vincere Cycles will open early in 2015 in a small town in south-east Michigan.

As we move along in the process, we'll continue to share our adventure with you. I hope to have photos and logo to share soon. We'll let you all know when shirts are available for purchase. We hope that if you find yourself in our neck of the woods that you'll stop by for a visit.

I was going to say that there absolutely must be a pun in the name... but that's too great. Congrats and best of luck to you two.

Thanks all. We're really excited about this and the name just fit what we're about. If anyone has a Guy Fawkes mask they'd like to donate...

Congrats you two! With a name like that you had better carry a couple of Italian bike lines in the shop, maybe De Rosa and Colnago?
Have fun, and do well.

Our long term plan is to bring in some high end bikes. It really all depends on what the market will support. We're carrying Cannondale for now.
