Tom quickly became a mentor and friend, he was an inspiration to many. I'll miss the guy, his thoughts, and wisdom. Tail winds, friend.

Thank you Tom for all the work you did to make this forum the wonderful "place" it is. I'm grateful for all the people I've met, both virtually and physically, all the knowledge I've gleaned and all the stories I've enjoyed, thanks to people like Tom who make the forum work.

WV is not flat..
I'm sure I "Thanked" Tom back when he accepted me into the forum, but I know I didn't follow that up in recent years with another "Thank You!" for opening the doors of my cycling world that this forum has led me into. For me this has grown into one of the premier sites that I visit on a daily basis and is always on a shortcut on every piece of technology I own. May the wind be at your back Sir and Thank you once again. Let's continue to enjoy the threads! Jeff

Early in my time here at BF, I had the pleasure of meeting Tom at an organized ride in Georgia (Tour De Pike). He was an inspiration to me, and countless others. Rest in Peace.

Tom showed me that you don't have to be a superstar athlete in order to enjoy cycling and be a cyclist. Thank you for that

contiuniously variable
Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Though wise men at their end know dark is right,
Because their words had forked no lightning they
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright
Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight,
And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight
Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
And you, my father, there on the sad height,
Curse, bless, me now with your fierce tears, I pray.
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

I had the chance to have a few conversation in french with him on this forum, He liked to pratice is french once in a while, which was very good and didn't need much practicing. So one more time:
Repose en paix très cher Tom, ce fut un honneur d'échanger avec toi sur ce site et j'aurais bien aimé taquiner l'achigan avec toi en Floride au moins une fois. Ce sera pour une autre vie.
Ta grandeur et ton ouverture d'esprit manquerons grandement à ce forum.
Merci

RIP
I haven't been here long, but from reading the post regarding Tom, he was a well thought of man. Prayers go out for the family. May you have peace within you and a grateful spirit for having had his as long as you did.
