I too as well have not been on the forum for a while.

Sorry to hear about the sad news.

I'm sure a comforting thing for friends and family is that there are so many people to share the burden of this loss.

RIP Tom

Man, I just noticed this, as I haven't been on the Forum much in the past few months. Very sad. His hard work gave a lot of joy and enrichment to the lives of many here. Best to him and his family.....

I just got a birthday email from him. Somewhere on the forums, there's a script still running with his name on it.

Been away for awhile, only pop in now and again but I'm very saddened by this. Tom was a great leader of this forum. My thoughts are with his family.

You go away for a few years, decide to come back to visit, and then you get blindsided by bad news. Tom was a thoughtful, respectful and caring man with a knack for leaving things better than he found them. In some ways, he was larger than life, and he leaves behind something that I trust will carry on. I will always remember him fondly.

Best wishes for his family in what must be a difficult time.

RIP Tom.. I have been away awhile too. You always sent me a Birthday notice and awarded me my Clyde's Emeritius certificate. God Bless you.

Man oh man. I just logged in for the first time in quite a while and I see this.... So Sad. Tom was a great guy with a true passion for cycling. I had the chance to ride with him on a couple of occasions and we had a blast. He even documented one of our rides.

The Amazing Shrinking Man!: Video from the Sizzling Century Ride, Aug 19, 2007: Ride Report

Tom you will be missed!!

In the longer run, one of the bigger shocks is that he was younger than me. Only the good die young I guess.

Just found out about Tom. I don't get on the forum as much as I used to.
I enjoyed reading what Tom wrote.
My condolences to his family.

So sad to hear the news... I've not visited BF for awhile as well.

Tom was - and still is - an inspiration to me. I never met Tom in person, however, his perseverance, kindness and wisdom came through easily on these forums - and for that, I am grateful.

My condolences to his friends and family - he clearly made the world a better place!

Thank you Tom,
ecovelo

I have been missing from the site like some others and saw the banner.

I remember when Tom first came to BF's I remember thinking "Who is this guy?". Because he was like a wildfire in getting to know the community coming out of nowhere with his heartfelt words in his posts and his love for bicycling. He was the right guy at the right time because when BF's started changing he was one of the members who helped keep the family and community element I liked so much that I found here.

He will be missed and his contributions will never be forgotten.

Been awhile since I was on the site, sad to hear of Toms passing. When I first got into biking I found this site and was always encouraged by seeing what Tom accomplished, in no small part due to his love of cycling. I frequented the Clydesdale part of the forums and he was always offering encouragement to whomever needed it. RIP Tom
