I keep getting google search results with BF posts (including mine!) apparently robo-stolen and displayed without images on this 'www.bike-air.com' website.
Anybody know what that's all about?
Annoying, as they show up usually well above the actual posts - re-searching the exact title gives usually the BF page.
Is there somebody at BF trying to stop this likely copyright infringement? Maybe some sort of robo-blocker or IP blocker?
As with so much else on the web I can't quite tell why they do this but figure there must be a scam in it somewhere... I'd rather get the actual results at BF!
On the other hand, if BF goes down this might be a useful emergency solution...

Someone has cloned (is cloning) this site. Probably located in a place without good legal recourse.
They get lots of good content to attract people and show them ads.
I imagine the best response to this is to notify search engines about this so the thieves' site gets blacklisted and doesn't show up in search results.
(I do web development but I don't have any experience with this kind of thing. I'd be interested on how this gets resolved, if the powers that be want to report on the outcome here.)

Hoping there's some way to stop it, because they're still flooding out most all BF posts on any goggle searches I do...

Hi guys,
This is not a tech issue, it's a legal one.
Anybody can scrape any website and post the content themselves. That's what's happening. Our legal team has been notified, and this will resolve when it resolves. This happens all the time with forums. Not to worry.
If you wish you can always mount your own legal case against the perpetrator, but we cannot assist.
Thanks,
Paul
