Pop up ad
Not certain if this has been addressed previously.
I find the info link pop up ad, on every page , very annoying.
Maybe once, on the home page, but every page..........................

As I understand it, there is an ad service and BF tells them what kind of ads are allowed and I'm fairly sure pop-ups aren't, but sometimes a 'bad' ad will get through.
IB (the corporate parent of BF) needs screenshots of the offending ad(s) so they can go to the ad service and go "no more".

Indeed. The infolinks pop-up ad stinks on ice. Every single page that comes up? That's rubbish.
And if they're doing it to compel us to pay a subscription fee, perhaps it's time to find a fresh forum that isn't so greedy.

Get a malware blocker or internet protection program that does both viruses/trojans AND malware/adware.
And I have seem a few of these reports lately here so I need to keep reminding you that it's a trend not just here but all over and I hear about it on peer support sites I participate in...
It really helps, other than a screen shot, if you report your operating system and browser as well.
Christmas is coming and the hackers need gifts for their little hackers.

latest iteration of adware/malware is a page hijack, while on BF, which takes the browser tab to reimageplus.com
this IS a problem on your site - evident when either in Road or Training forums.
Happens random and a number of different windows open from reimageplus.com.
Happens in all browsers I use - IE, Firefox & palemoon, chrome, opera (all the latest versions for each browser)
Happens on 4 different machines, 3 - WIN 7 & 1 - WIN 10. thru 3 different ISPs
All machines are completely clean and AV protected by a variety of active software
All have no install/infection of reimageplus nor babylon.
All have their browsers retained browser cache/cookies/history fully reset.
this issue is generated from within your - BF - pages.
tab/page hijack is a 'refresh' when the BF page loads partially - one destination is similar to this:
https://www.dotfab.com/resources/wp-c...2014/11/12.png
also comes with a dialog box which allows "stay on page", or "leave page" - what these buttons actually do is not certain, I'm not dumb enough to find out and the only way to get rid of the dialog box is to end via taskmgr.
BTW: ALL the browsers on all involved machines have been checked to be clean, without any unknown extensions.
All machines have had their registries checked, startups and configs checekd and are clean.
This problem happens on NO other site visited... only when a page/tab is on BF.
looks I'll have to stay away from BF again...
who knows what else will find its way thru BF, and I can't afford to spend time cleaning infected machines nor combating any malware/ransomware.

Try Malwarebytes...the 14 day trial will open your eyes.
(seriously...I had a nasty drive-by installation party a while back)

Malwarebytes - the canned answer
seriously, I already have it for a long time, along with a few other detectors/cleaners.
seriously, the problems are for real. OK, they are 'not' in your BF page code. But they prolly are imported thru your ads/linking.
If 'you' - the BF web admin are not vetting all the links you place/allow, then you are the infection.
Yeah currently it becomes a 'user' problem, but things like this eventually bite in the ass...

Cyclezen, unless you buy it MB goes back to scan only removal ('free'), the realtime protection is what is good about it.
And if your antivirus isn't either up to date or functioning correctly...
I have no idea what is causing your problems, I am a Titanium Club member, I have no ads. Beyond that all I can do it hope you can at least take a picture or screenshot and maybe find it in your History listing...and you can both block that and report it to Microsoft (if it's Windows). All of this is accessible from Tools in the IE 11 top menu. If you don't have pop-up blocker or Smart Screen enabled I'd recommend that as well.
It's really not too hard, even if I've been using Windows for 31 years.

latest, 2nite, as I brought up the FB site/training...
my browser XSS Filter came up, in 'Training' forum
"The XSS Filter has detected a potential XSS attack. Type: External Script"
I have a screenshot of this, which you're welcome to, however I won;t be posting to any of my pic sites - happy to forward...
otherwise, that'll be the xtend of my detecting...
so believe what you want, but BF is an infection portal.
bye

I really don't know why the Russians are so interested in you...
You should try an adblocker or something.
Of COURSE you are going to get a cross scripting warning. It's from an ad you could get rid of.
Why is everybody so freaked out over stuff they either don't understand or didn't set to silently deal with?
You keep saying bye, but it's a desperate bluff, like you think the IT staff know exactly what you are talking about and can find it without asking for details.
It must be the presidential election.
You are always free to do whatever, whatever it is that is the problem.
Please give it away, if there is an actual problem they and we would love to fix it.
PS It's altogether possible that a third party posting is the culprit or a rogue advertisement. Bad ads are banned here, but they have to know.
