Pop Up Ads/Spam on iPhone Browser (Safari)
FYI I know the solution may be pay for membership and/or get adblock, but this morning the site was unusable on my iPhone as every time I loaded it I would get the "Congrats! You have won..." which made the site impossible to use.
I suspect one of the forum advertisers is playing dirty tricks but I am not savvy enough.
/end rant

TMI, but speaking of crap, I sometimes like to browse the forums while in the bathroom. It somehow seems most appropriate. No can do with evil popup ads.

Please send in screenshots and include mobile device/browser info. We are currently collecting this info so we can try to identify who is serving these bad ads.

It's constant with Android tablet & Ipad. The issue is it's not just a normal pop-up that can be closed and allowing you to continue on the thread that was open. The pop-up becomes looped that can't be backed out of & continue reading the thread... the only option being to close it out and reopen the thread from the start. And sometimes it does it again right away. The other issue is it's suggesting it's from Amazon.com but it's obviously a scam. And it happens at anytime while scrolling down through the middle of thread posts. I'll get a screenshot next time I use my tablet.. I cant remember it happening on my PC though.

I was trying to capture it today, but it wasn't happening.
Then after a few minutes of reading BF, it happened again.
Time: 1407 Mountain Daylight Time
My public IP at the time: 71.205.68.94
Attached is an image of the website it took me to when I clicked the "Close" button on the popup:

And here is what the damned popup looks like.
The bogus "Close" button takes you to the web page shown in my earlier post.

Yup. I was getting that incessantly today. I broke down and loaded an Adblock app which seems (so far) to work.

Apparently, they are using more than just HTTP_USER_AGENT to identify iPad/iPhone.
Perhaps screen size detection.
I wanted to do packet captures of the traffic on MacOS so I could see exactly what the jackasses are doing.

Went to private mode on my iPad to see if that would help, but no. Wish I could send some sort of reply to them that would detonate their servers.

The new iOS will block stuff like this automatically, but for pre-emtive self-defense:

Paid for the one month trial and that cured the problem.😀
I enjoy the forum so the small fee is worth it.
Now back to the main forums.....👍

I only get attacked by the pop ups when I'm logged in. It's on safari and and chrome on iPad and iPhone. It has made this site basically unusable. Most pics don't show unless I'm logged in. I like pics.

Just started with me also. I only had it happen once before and it did it just once, but today, it comes up every time I do something with my phone. iPhone 6.

Add me to the list, it's gotten so bad that I don't even bother visiting the forum on my iPhone or iPad anymore.
