Private message problem

I don't know if this is a glitch on the revised site or something I'm doing wrong, but I can't send or reply to private messages. Even though I fill out the title and message fields, I get an error message saying that have to fill out both.
Has anyone else had this problem? Any suggested solutions?

I may be unusually dense, but I can't figure out how to do that, either.

There is an icon with an exclamation point in the lower left hand, blue circle with a red center. Click on it, and then a report screen will come up, ask them to help you, or have this moved to the member problems sub-forum.

Bill

Edit: reported it for you, should get some response back to you soon.

We recently switched the site from using http to https. This will cause issues for anyone still using old bookmarks/links and for users who have not cleared the cookies and cache for the site.

Although I don't know for sure the https switch is causing the issue you are experiencing, please clear all cache and cookies for the site and make sure to either delete or update old bookmarks for the site.

For example, if you have http://www.bikeforums.net bookmarked, either delete the bookmark or edit it so that the URL is https://www.bikeforums.net

New problem: I can't start new threads (although I can apparently reply to an existing thread which is how I am able to send this). When I try to post a new thread I get an error message telling me that my message has to be at least to characters--same error message regardless of actual length of post.

When trying to start a new post, are you copying and pasting from another document?

If you try to login using another browser does the same behavior exist?

By chance are you trying to start a new thread using [quote] tags?
