I think the Bikeforum site is riddled with trojan popups & redirects that act differently depending on the device being used (tablet, IOS, etc). All of the cases mentioned in previous topic threads (Four Virus redirects, Congratulations.., end of page jumps, etc) are still happening. My office pc is the only device that doesn't experience any of those issues, and I got the most up to date firewall antivirus pop-up , etc. protection loaded on it to the point I don't see a lot of photos posted because most of the hosting sites are blocked also. To be clear, all those popups/redirects only happen when viewing the bikeforums site, no other known trusted web site has these issues.

IMHO, anyone using phones, tablets, IOS, to visit bikeforums is taking a big risk until the site is 100% scrubbed.

On my laptop, I use Win7/Firefox with most of the blocking add-ons they offer. I never see any pop-ups, ads or re-directs. I have 9 different
blockers of various types and they work well for me. Right now they are showing a plethora of excluded intrusions.

I hate to block the ads because I know they're a source of revenue to this forum, but the advertisers and 3rd parties have spoiled my web
experience. I will block everything that annoys me.

Hi All,

I know the malicious ads and re-directs are a pain. The best thing you can do to help us is to provide clear data regarding your mobile device hardware, operating system, and a screenshot of what you are seeing.

To capture a screenshot on iOS, click the home and sleep button simultaneously.
On most android devices, you can capture a screenshot by holding the power and volume down buttons for a few seconds.

Is the information I posted above helpful? A screen shot would be a waste of server space when you just get an “open in App Store : cancel or open.

I am using an iPhone 7 with the latest iOS 11.1.2 fwiw.

That's a tad hard to decipher I would think. Screen shot might help.

Not sure if ours is considered an adult site considering we are more family oriented, kids included. I dont' think ours could be related to this issue.

I'm NOT getting the popup because I've been to adult sites. Bikeforums.net is the only site I get the pop-ups from.

This is what I keep getting. The 'links for either cancel or open do nothing btw. The only thing I can do is back screen or shutdown the current window.

Any and all information is helpful, but screenshots and device/OS info is the best.

Still getting this. Why won’t you fix this? It makes using this forum with an iPhone completely impossible. It is quite unbelievable how crapped up this forum is.

Hi, Just to let you know, the tech team are not working on the weekends, only in an emergency. I'm sorry that you feel that this forum is crapped up, has it been like this for your entire membership? Or just recently?

FYI I just saw on facebook that people are getting it too, the exact same message as you but on Samsung. This leads me to think it's not me but rather a virus from here but I bet it's some sort of spam to force you to buy an app.

There were no iPhones for the first 5-6 years of my membership so no. But, It’s been going on for a year now, so not working weekends is not the deal here:

iPhone spam.

This is the only website I visit were I get redirects. Nothing else does this.

I understand the way you're thinking, however, the main point to consider;
It ONLY OCCURS when visiting the bikeforums.net web site.

It's not just Samsung devices. Some have reported scam pop-ups using apple devices, and a few months ago I was frequently getting the "Congratulations.. you won.." pop-up using an Ipad II. I stopped using the Ipad, switched to the Samsung tablet and it started getting the Four Virus alert.

Again, I want to emphasize, it ONLY happens when visiting BIKEFORUMS, therefore imho, the pop-up is tagged/triggered from the Bikeforums.

So, while I agree with your thinking the pop-up is taking advantage of certain devices, I think the pop-up itself is embedded into the bikeforums web site acting on specific devices where there's a weakness in the pop-up blocking. If the pop-up was a valid advertisement it wouldn't be as annoying (for lack of better words), but, these pop-ups are scams bordering on malware.
