This is the only site this happens for me...same thing as above. It makes the forum basically unuseable on mobile, so basically I don't use mobile to access the site.
it went away for a few weeks but now it is back.

Wouldn't be the first time, but I digress. Java is an attack vector. And in the case of IOS, Apple left it wide open to a man in the middle attack, without the use of java.
I congratulate you on learning to code java, but after reading your link, did you read this?
That says all that's needed. Webkit does in fact support the javascript engine. Your IOS browser is based on webkit.

Of course iOS supports Javascript on Safari.
That is why I explained in my earlier post that you can off Javascript to disable the adware redirection!

Prairie Mountain Publishing owns some of the local CO newspapers, and a few weeks ago I found this same crap on a couple of their websites, but it was gone a few days later. That was the only place I've seen it other than here on BF.

Disabling JavaScript on IPhones has helped in the past. It changes some functionality of the site, but to me, the changes have a minimal effect on the experience that I am personally willing to deal with.

Running Windows 7 at the moment. I also run the ESR (52.6.0) version of firefox, but I only use chrome to access BF on this computer. Running Mint 18.3 on two laptops with chrome on one and chromium on the other with no issues.
Are you running a script blocker or adblock in firefox? Also, the new version of firefox broke a whole shedload of addons.
I just now opened BF with firefox ESR and had no issues like what you're describing.

Since I posted this topic I now have an iPhone it is getting so bad on both chrome and Safari that I can’t even hardly come to this site on my phone at all. When I get emails saying somebody replied to one of my topics and I clicked on the link it goes straight to an Amazon site or something like that. Are usually click OK it goes to the website and then I hit the back button on Chrome to come back to where I was and then I pray that it doesn’t come back up. Sometimes it does sometimes it doesn’t. Safari will not work that way you can never back out with Safari

Standard Chrome on Android, it appeared to stop about a week ago and I assumed it stopped because Google updated Chrome to block some forms of ads by default but I got another one tonight. I never get it with the Adblock web Browser on the same phone but that is not my normal browser. It is from an ad network.

It really helps if you can get some sort of screenshot or find the URL of the site in your browser's history.
While you may not think it matters the site's owners, who also own the platform we use, can use this and compare things. It's also possible that if they can pin these rogue pages down then they can report them to antivirus makers (you DO have antivirus/exploit protection of some sort)?
It would also help to know if you have the latest version of you operating system/browser installed on your mobile devices? Can you actually update to it?
I'm not just blowing smoke! There are problems with certain Apple products that cause stuff like you are experiencing and Apple has given you workarounds, and you need to keep your equipment running at it's highest level for your device regardless of who made it. Change your passwords regularly. It's not a simple world and there is no one switch to fix everything.
I've used computers of several makes and levels of complexity since the summer of 1978, including some time on a small mainframe while in college (HP 3000). The need for antimalware programs became very apparent to me when I first went online and got my first virus (drive-by?) and ended up reinstalling Windows 98SE because I had no way to fix it then...I got my first PC in 1992, a 386/66 DX.
It has never been a trivial matter to keep your computer running securely and proactively protected.

Yes, that's the one although I see a different hostname listed in the redirect. It's been happening for months on Android Chrome and can make the site unusable. I'm surprised it's gone on this long and was hoping a browser update from Google would end it.
The solution is to ban the offending ad so users don't need to resort to ad blockers or installing other browsers that effectively do the same.

I have been having the same problem the past few days on my iPhone/safari.
I had it several months ago but got an ad-blocker (Ka-block) that worked. Now it's not working. Very annoying.
I suppose I could disable the java script as above but can't the forum get its advertisers to play nice??

Every screenshot that has been posted I have seen at some point in the past. In the last few days has been the Amazon one. But like I said earlie (knock on wood) I haven’t had any more problems since I installed the Norton pop up blocker for safari. I can’t find anything for Chrome yet though. But when I check email from bike forums and click on the link to open it up it opens in Safari so at the moment all is good.

Apologies for that monster sized image. I just uploaded a screenshot from my phone. I had no idea it would be so large.

For those who want to learn more about this malware technique, you can search for these terms: "frame busting" and/or "forced redirects"
Also, the Google Chrome browser is taking steps to enable blocking of it: https://www.androidpolice.com/2018/0...-turned-april/
Right now the current version of Chrome on macOS is 65.x and it has the enable-framebusting-needs-sameorigin-or-usergesture flag.
Current version of Chrome on iOS is 64.x and it does not have the flag.

It is good to know it actually works!
I've never seen that notice on macOS/Chrome, but I've also never seen the problem on macOS.
At home I use my own DNS server that blacklists ~2600 sites, so the browser couldn't reach them even if it tried.
Now hopefully they will hurry up with the 65.x version for iOS.

Ditto this. Installed the norton ad blocker from the ap store on my iPhone and it seems to be working.
