I regularly get the message:
It usually occurs when initiating the search using command line history:
bikeforums.net/search.php?do=getnew
I'm not quite sure what I'm doing prior to it. Maybe browsing messages, or scrolling up and down. But, it doesn't seem to be a problem caused by repeating searches, rather it is caused by using the website.

Only FIVE seconds? vB4 often is set to make you wait 30 seconds.
Okay, let's figure something out. Are you using a mobile device, laptop or desktop, and how do you make the click to start the search?
I ask because I suspect you are getting inadvertent double-clicking and your mouse or screen interface may be part of the problem.
Also, the standard signoff and in, you know the drill.

It isn't a double click... nor a double search.
What I frequently will do is go to a forum page I've recently viewed, and delete half the address, at which point the search address pops up to the top of the list of recently viewed pages, and I select it...
bikeforums.net/search.php?do=getnew
Then I'll get the 5 second message.
Running Chrome on a laptop.
It seems to happen pretty randomly, but I'll usually hit it a couple of times a day.
