I can't change my password

Yesterday I tried to change my forum account password.

I used a more complex password and when trying to save it, I got a message that the password is invalid.

Since then, I can't change my password, even with a simple one (only letters or only letters and numbers). Whatever I input in the new password field, instead of pasword strength (while typing the new password) I get "Invalid" (see the first screenshot). And when I try to save the password change, I get the message that the password is invalid (see the second screenshot).
I am entering the old password correctly.

OK, I'm not sure why this is not appearing, but to change your password, the new one needs to have the following:
  • Capital letter
  • Lower-case letter
  • Number
  • Symbol (! $ # etc)
I'll ask tech why those requirements don't appear (I know they do on other sites)

The password I tried to use yesterday used characters from all four of the above categories. But after I did the "Save changes", in the next page I got the message that the password was invalid and my password was not changed.
I tried again right now, with the same result.

Ah. I had a hunch and I removed ":" from my password. This time it was accepted.

I just sent you an email about your password. Since you got this sorted, you ignore it.
