Lack of location in profiles

I often read a post and then I am interested to know where they are located. Like some post about riding in weather. These days profiles often don’t have any location or something silly like “earth”. I know people are nervous about privacy but a term like “socal” doesn’t really reveal much. I suggest that entering a location be encouraged. Thanks.

You can always ask the poster.

I don't think it is reasonable to encourage or expect people to share their location publicly. There are many reasons for not doing so.

I agree. Some region would not intrude on privacy (see mine).
