Not a Secure Website?
For the first time ever, I received this message. I assume that my credit card info can be accessed by bad actors.
Since I have not seen this, were changes made or has it always been this way and my security settings are now alerting me? https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...290cf090fd.png |

Could you copy/paste the URL that was yielding this? If you're ever in doubt, check the URL. http is not secure. httpS is secure. It's also possible an ad on the page was an http link and triggered that.

I got that a few days ago. However closing the browser and going to back to BF was no issue. And a close check of the URL and other browser info about the url seemed all was well. And just likely a hiccup in timing and or other factors along the many hops the packets take to get to you.
Not certain why you think your CC information was taken. BF doesn't have that. At least AFAIK. If your browser has the option, you should set it to show the full URL as that'll give you easy ways to see what sites are http or https. Still, as long as all you are doing on http sites is just look at information or such. Then it's not a real security threat. Unless you are the type of person that likes to click on pop-ups and such. It's only the passing of sensitive information and money transaction that you really have to worry about https vs http. But https does make everyone feel more secure. Though even HTTPS is not a complete assurance of security. |
