Edit Avatar: To Add A Picture
Hello. Is there a place in the forum that gives instructions on how to insert a picture-file into your avatar?
I'm sure there is a size-limit, but I'm not sure on the different types of picture-files that can be inserted.
I have a picture that was saved as a "Bitmap Image" ... which is 184 KB in size. I'm guessing that the size is too big, but I never got an error message about the size. However, I did get the following error message: "This is not a valid image file".
Soooo, how to remedy? Is there a way to save this bitmap image into a valid image file ... and also possibly making the file small enough to insert into my avatar?
Sincerely,
Motorad

The size limits are 64 pixels by 64 pixels and 5kb. It doesn't say what types are allowed, but generally it's safest to use jpg, gif or png files. Bitmaps tend to be rather large, which is why they generally aren't allowed.
