Desk, you can just skip the "mountain" icon. First find out the url to your posted picture by right clicking (Windows, Mac users I think it's ctrl click but not sure) the picture you want to post and selecting "Properties" you will see a section for URL Address: Highlight the line that starts with http:// including all lines if it wraps. Hit CTRL C or right click the highlighted portion and select copy.
In your post put your cursor where you want the picture (above or below your text) and hit CTRL V or right click and select paste. Now just put [img] (no space) before that URL and (no space) [/img] after and voila (if the web site you are linking to allows linking) your picture will show in your post. Example: [img] http://velospace.org/files/P0003828c.jpg [/img] Without the space between [img] and the URL gets you this http://velospace.org/files/P0003828c.jpg Last but not least. PLEASE format the photo to be 800x600 or less. Not everyone has a 32" monitor and nobody likes to scroll around to read a thread like this one and many others (pet peeve)!!! HTH |
