I'm not getting e-mal notifications of posts I'm subscribed to?

Hi, folks!

I don't seem to be getting e-mail notification for subscriptions I post in and/or subscribe to. My e-mail of record is correct and the messages are NOT going to my bulk mail folder. They just seem as if they're not being sent. Could someone check the system? Thanks!

Are you certain that you are actually subscribed to those threads? Check your listed subscriptions via the User Control Panel...You may have changed the setting inadvertently.

Out fishing with Annie on his lap, a cigar in one hand and a ginger ale in the other, watching the sunset.

MAy be related to the hardware issues. It's definitely being worked on though.

Yes I know I am subscribed. After posting this, I started getting weekly updates again for the first time in a month. Still not getting instant notification of new posts however. Thanks!

Well, it does sound as if it could be a hardware issue, then.

I don't subscribe to all posts, but I know that I get instant notification of PMs...do you?

I have the same problem.
.
So, in the subscribed threads list, when I check the "notification" box, that means I will be notified, right?
.
Well, I have all those boxes checked, but when I leave that page and return, they are all revert to UNchecked. How do I keep those boxes checked?

There's various ways you can subscribe to threads: you can go to a particular thread and say, "I want to "Subscribe to Thread: Hello From Bend, OR!". So you go to thread tools at the top of the page for that thread, click on thread tools, which takes you to 'subscribe to this thread'. If you click on that, you are taken to a page where you identify the notification type. Then click on 'add subscription'.

Or, you can go to the Control Panel and hit Edit Options (which is apparently the way you are going) and have Default Thread Subscription Mode, where you are subscribed automatically to threads which you have either started, or have replied to. This is a stupid question, but are you hitting the 'save changes' at the bottom of the page when you say you want to subscribe to the threads?

Then, you can also subscribe by posting a reply, and going down to the bottom of the reply page, where you are asked if you wish to subscribe to the thread, and you can select various ways to subscribe.
