New Posts in select Forums

Is there a way to get the 'View New Posts' functionality, but filter it to only show the forums you are interested in (way to many posts across the entire site to make the view new posts function useful)? I subscribed to the four that I like most, but I see now easy way to quickly see what's new in them without visiting each one separately.

Yes but its ass backwards and only does half the battle. Go into your user control panel, and subscribe to the forums you read. This will then produce a quick view of those forums only.

this is a feature that has been requested for freking 8 years or so (ok maybe 6) I am shocked someone hasn't bothered to make a plugin for it.
