Chat

Hey guys,

I know gabbly isn't really associated with BikeForums and it is very unreliable, so I was wondering what the chances were that you could install a chat similar to the one used here? A lot of us like to chat in the evenings and gabbly is so useless at times. Could you please look into this********************? Pretty Please???

Thanks - wolfpack

Once upon a time, someone mentioned IRC... It's looking pretty good to me.

well, i looked at that briefly, but it seemed like you had to purchase some sort of license; i can look again tho....to add a chat function shouldn't be that hard. seems BF is using vbulletin for the forum software and adding a chat function, should, i think be simple....

There's always Peekko Chat (Do a google search). It sets a chatroom for any site you are on for anyone with the Peekko software in. Free as well.

I don't have an account on that site, so I couldn't log into the chat. But I'll go ahead and see if that's an option for us.

It's actually a user software driven chat. No installs needed for BF, instead, it gets DL'ed on the members 'puter. I've never had any security issues from it, either.

I'll check that out Tom. I didn't do a search before I posted (I know), and I see that this has been mentioned many times before and some of the issues I can understand. There's a few people (prolly anywhere from 10-15) who use gabbly on a regular basis and it's just very frustrating to use.

I used yahoo messenger last night with a few. It will work...
