Why did Ask.com want to eat my page when I logged in?

I realize that there is a banner ad top right but I Xed out and cleared my cache thinking I had been hijacked!

They're sorta scum wannabes to me anyway and after two days trying to get back online, breaking my frame, being very low on food, slipping and falling flat on my back and trying to work double time to pay the phone co and other enjoyable stress, having a rollover eat the screen and trying to figure if I can defeat it was spiritual.

That wasn't union script, I gather.

The ad did it again when I logged in just now. It's a separate page but I cringe to think that they have to totally obscure the actual forums home to say HI. At least we don't have cars driving across the page like on Yahoo! but I doubt serious I would use a service that does things like that.

Maybe it's me, as I'm 2000 Professional SP4 and IE 6 fully upgraded.

Strange, I'm not having any problems like that?

WindowsXP and who knows what flavour of IE.
