Deleted threads?

If a thread you were reading this morning no longer comes up tonight, can we assume it was deleted for some reason? Is there some place where mods post notice of this so we don't waste all our time trying to find the thread? I'm pretty sure it's gone now since searching myself as author doesn't even bring it up and I know I posted in that thread. Perhaps an email notification to all who had posted in the thread or a message here saying "(subject line) has been deleted due to______"

Just wondering...

If you see them banned permanently it might explain something, however according to Banned Users nobody has been banned since 12-03...You can always ask a moderator, especially if you are concerned about yourself. I think that you would be aware of any issues by now and it's always a good policy not to hop on a known trainwreck and of course Every Good Bicyclist Deserves Favor.

Also I think that while bans are public information I would side with the moderators in that such deletions are normally a private issue that may be disclosed at their discretion and privately if they deem it necessary, for the good of the Forums as a community and a whole.

As I suggested, ask a moderator for your forum, listed at the page bottom or Tom Stormcrowe. Remember that your input is welcome and vital to the community, even if it it unwelcome and -semi-vital.

gee, as much as I putt around here they might ask ME to do this. That'll be a :trainwreck:

Thanks. I can't even remember which forum the thread was taking place in. I read via the "view new posts" method so don't take much notice of which forum section threads are in.

Perhaps the original poster requested the thread to be removed? Oh well.
