automatic double posts?

For the last two days almost every time I have responded to a post I have ended up with a post and a screen that tells me I cannot post again for 30 seconds.

If I wait the 30 seconds and post, it is a duplicate post.

I have to either go back or click on the thread link at the top of the screen to see the active thread with my new non-duplicated post.

Using Windows XP and Mozilla Firefox browser.

This just started happening and I haven't rebooted in quite a while... nothing new on my end.

Out fishing with Annie on his lap, a cigar in one hand and a ginger ale in the other, watching the sunset.

We're having occasional issues with this if the servers are under heavy load.

yeah I couldn't find a common reason for this... my actions and equipment had not changed and the result wasn't predictable... it was like biking on the street with drunk motorists... I knew what would happen, but never when.

It's the official, IB approved, highly technical workaround for Camino users who never see the first and last posts on a page. I for one appreciate the redundancy...redundancy.

Yeah, I had the same thing happen, but I figured it out and have been ignoring the "wait 30 seconds" prompt.

I tell you though, the "search" function on this new server is really crazy, I have to change the settings to get it to work like the old "search" function.

When you get that error, and before you try posting again, scroll down to see whether your post actually got into the thread. It usually does anyway.

Sucks, but at least it's just half broken.
