Token Has Expired

What does this even mean? When I'm trying to post some times (often lately) I get this error, that my token has expired and please reload the page. Well, I reload, but nothing. It seems I have to go to another page and then come back to be able to post.

It wouldn't be so annoying if it wasn't a) a terrible error message that means nothing to anyone but the developer, and b) wrong about the corrective action to take.

Perhaps a programmer was fed up with the Transit Authority. Have done a search on Google or others and which browser are you using when it occurs?

Flatballer 06-26-11 06:28 AM

Firefox. Tried a google search, no luck.

What did the Firefox website say that error might be associated with?

I use IE exclusively but 'token' to be would suggest a protocol for handing permissions to a client, whether you or another party and not always something you may have violated.

It could be similar to HTTP 500 series, forbidden/access denied due to etc to a malformed or illegal command.

While those are my guesses to my knowledge one of those is probably close..

Here's some good news in my opinion...it's doubtful you need even worry. A server somewhere probably hiccuped. Maybe your mouse had too much french fry in it.

Note the entire message plus where you were browsing and send it to Tom next time.

AND OH...If you're using an old version of FF---STOP THAT! tthis and other forums platforms are optimized to the latest/best version of each browser platform they work with. Now I am back to 7 on this laptop but I'm trying to rebuild and figure what is going on with my computer mess.

I'm betting FF might be easier than IE about now but crap anyway, pedaling is better than both:crash:

Sorry, maybe I wasn't clear. This is a vBulletin error of some sort. Pops up just above the reply window.

Rollfast 07-04-11 05:41 AM

If I've encountered it I can't recall. I see at least one vBulletin forums thread dated 2009 so far.

Look for yourself: http://www.google.com/#sclient=psy&h...c796b09a129ab4

Since I have regrettably missed your reply of almost a week ago I would like to apologize first for finding myself too occupied (I'm not a mod or official here but I do like to help when I can) and now I would like to ask if you still have this problem.

Yeah, that's the one. Doesn't seem to be a solution there either. I mean, yeah, I can reload the page, but I'm curious why it's happening.

I see that yellow info band at the bottom of your screen that says 3/5 scripts allowed: googleads...BF and one other.

Are you certain you haven't blocked something that is needed by the server by mistake?

What are all the script processes involved when the error occurs?
