How to re name a web link?

I know one of those icons at the top of the text box has something to do with it, but I'm having no success.

Copy your link URL
Click on the "Insert Link" - World with chainlink below it.
Paste your URL in the pop-up and click OK
Then it will show up in the Quick Reply text area with the text that will appear as the link highlighted. Just start typing and the URL will be replaced by whatever words you type. Make sure you don't mess with the brackets [] or the code inside them or link will break

Here's the default:
https://www.biketiresdirect.com/produ...-8x11-4-37-547

And after typing over the selected text:
Tires link

Hey, thanks for that. Bear with me while I give this a test run.
Edit: Well, obviously that didn't work.
Let's try again.

Edit: That did it. Thanks again.

Out fishing with Annie on his lap, a cigar in one hand and a ginger ale in the other, watching the sunset.
