and how many points lead to a temporary ban, and subsequently long term/permanent ban? do they all start with a warning?

Ooooh! I remember being on a motorcycle forum for a few years and someone asked this question. The moderators infracted the poster so he could see exactly how it worked. I've had a look around this forum however and can see that it is a considerably less brutal environment.....

1 point per infraction. Admins can set up custom infractions for more than one point for extreme situations. 3 points leads to a week ban automatically, and 5 to a permanent one. Points do age off, and you are told how long it will be befpre it ages off. Again, there is an Admin option for points to not age off, but that requires an admin level infraction to get that.

YOu will see how many points and when they age off on your profile, but no one else but you and staff can see that. If you'd like, I can run you through the process to let you see how it woprks all the way to ban and then after you hahve a chance to see it, I can edit them off completely. Let me know if you'd like that experience. It won't ultimately reflect on your record here.
