Lug I.D. Please

5 Attachment(s)
Hello all!

I have collected some lugs over the years, and I could use some help with I.D. please. I have enclosed some photos. The first is of a very heavy sand-cast lugs and BB. I would guess Charter-Lea, but am not sure. Second is a complete lugs with fork crown. I think it is Pregnant, but not sure which model type. Last is a top and bottom head lug set (no seat lug). No idea about this one. I have another set just like it, and ended up hand-cutting a seat lug, from a blank, to match. Thanks in advance!

Can't help you with the IDs at all, but you can also try posting your question here as well - Classic and Vintage Bicycles: What's it Worth? Appraisals and Inquiries

Have you been auto corrected with your spellings? I think it is "Chater-Lea" and "Prugnat"

there are old lug catalogs posted on the web. Second set looks nervex-like

Nervex made lugs that looked like the first set too, but I didn't find that exact style

I suspect that this lug set was made with a 3 speed in mind. Or at least with a roller guided rear gear cable routing at the seat lug. Hence the stud on the Rh side of the seat lug. The shell looks to have the "foundation" for an oil port (or, if a modern part, a Zerk nipple). This is another common detail BITD. Andy.

I didn't notice the stud was missing on the other side. Actually, it's on the wrong side for a cable. My assumption had been that there was a stud on both sides. I'm pretty sure those studs were meant to mount the seat stays, that's what they are doing on every picture I find like that. I don't think I have ever seen a bike like that in person, but there are pictures out there.

Fork crown could be Vagner:
