Keyed or none keyed dummy axles?
 

What are the advantages of using a keyed dummy axle vs. a round dummy axle?

Saw this and was curious.

Brandon- Keying will set the drop out's slot angle, relative to the stay/blade. The key fits within the slot. A round one will let the drop out pivot freely about the axle. This speaks to your build process and what a little time is worth each time you do this stuff. Andy

Thanks Andrew, that's what I thought, but I wasn't completely sure as I'm not that far along yet. Makes total sense to have the keyed.

Anvil sells what they call the "happy meal" which includes both. The reason you want the non-keyed is so it works with their disc fixture. Some of the keyed ones don't, particularly through axle dummy axles.
