Looking for a Framebuilder in Madison, WI
Hello.
I am hoping to find a friendly framebuilder in the Madison, Wisconsin area who might be willing to inspect and repair/rebuild a lugged-steel frame. Any help on a path towards someone would be most appreciated :) |
I don't know if John repairs frames or not but I have two friends who ride his bikes. If he doesn't he may have a lead for you.

Part of my problem is that I don't drive, so I am hoping I can find someone nearby to take the frame to. It would be great if John could put me in the right direction. Thanks again :) |

The website looks like something I created at school in the 90s, but its a legit company with decades of history and experience with steel frames. They do repair(or contract out, not sure) and are the closest I know of to Madison. Also, since you dont drive, perhaps ship the frame. Itll cost $30-35 each way to send to most of the country. Below is a local builder who taught a frame class I took. He custom builds, does repairs, and has a paint booth in house. You could call then ship for a quote.
