Gravel touring frame build WIP

Thought I'd post some progress photos of my new bike frame. Don't have the time to do descriptions for each photo, but let me know if you have any questions about my hack process and I'll try to answer.

This is a continuation from my frame geometry questions posted in this thread:

okay, that dropped stay is great. How did you bend it? Is that Nova tubing?

My next frame is for a gravel/bikepacking bike. I'm using 2OS lugs and Nova tubing that I have had sitting around since Nova had a sale. I was thinking about getting some Zona tubing to replace it, but the difference between 8/5/8 and 7/4/7 is pretty minimal.

I have a SRAM road crank and a spider that fits Shimano mtb chainrings for it.

It's zona tubing, but the thicker 8/5/8 with a 7/5/7 DT.

I capped off one end of the CS and filled it with sand. Then welded the other end shut, making sure to leave a couple of pin holes for the hot gas to escape (otherwise potential pipe bomb). Then using a rose bud torch head I gently heated and bent it. The trick is all in even heat control. I bought some spare CS's and got it on my second attempt.

Some good videos of some Japanese guys bending car exhaust tubes with a similar method on YouTube.
