I'm seeking a Brake Bridge

it looks like the Silva 211…

But not quite. The Silva 211 has a chevron shape with a rounded apex over the brake hole.

I'm looking for something very similar but there is a flat spot on top the brake hole.

I'll try to find a pic of what I want.

Anybody holding? I tried the usual frame part outlet, CEEWAY. They have the wrong one.

I have some Gipiemme bridges. Would one of those work for you?

I appreciate you show me those, but no it needs to be a Chevron shape

But not this one. Notice how this one has a rounded top.

Robert, I have what you want (I think) but they are not full length. I got them from the Miele factory in Toronto when they went bust and the ends are mitered. So I would need to know how far apart your stays to know if one of them would work.

I’m sorry to be “that guy” but the frame is at the chem dipper because my Framebuilder friend doesn’t want to breath in melting paint fumes.

any chance you could tell me how long your bridge is?

thanks
robert

Maybe start with the available rounded Silva 21, add enough bronze fillet braze and then file to convert the round to flat shape you desire?

Are these the ones you are wanting?

Sure, it is 48mm inside to inside measured in the center on the underside. The reason these are one of my favorites is because the bridge angle matches the arch of the brake and kind of makes it disappear.

This is the one. It says “MOD.DE”

who would have made this? Silva? GMP? Cinelli made BBs, did they/Columbus make brake bridges?

The ones I have are very similar. Brass could be blobed in the center and filed to the same shape. Is the indented letters important to you? I have never seen the bridge you are referencing. It is possible that they were only made for the company that used them. It is not unusual for bike brands to have unique parts made to distinguish their frames from their competitors.

They were used in both Bianchi and giodora

I don’t think there’s much of a relationship between those two companies so it must’ve been something available
