Unusual Geometry in this Bike?
This woman has some unusual skills, but I wonder if there is anything unusual about the bike as well?
Does the head tube angle, rake and trail look unusual? How do these affect the ability to use the bike for some of these maneuvers? At times she reverses the direction of the bars and wheel. At other times she spins the bars.... http://youtube.com/watch?v=ISJjxsh7mZ8 |
It's specially made for trick riding and/or bicycle polo. Head angles approaching 90 degrees, and little-to-no rake, primarily to allow the wheel to spin without the tire hitting the downtube.

Here little better quality video of a doubles competition in Germany. Friend of mine has a 1918 circus clown bicycle in his collection, looks exactly the same as these. I have seen these used for bicycle polo also.

I haven't seen bicycle polo in real life yet, but artistic cycling is an old and established sport, mostly in Germany.
