MTB suspension fork - frame geometry question
I also posted this on the Mountain Bike forum & mtbr.com but haven't gotten much response so I'm hoping some framebuilders out there can help.
I found some nice deals on (Fisher) G2 specific forks and am not clear on how big a difference this would make if mounted on a Jamis Dakar XC Comp FS mountain bike. Both forks are 100mm travel and while I understand that Fisher has the offset increased about 5mm, I can't anticipate if this would make any difference to a fat, old, slow trail rider like me. The theory says that slow speed handling would be enhanced at the expense of high speed handling - would an average rider even notice though?
Thanks in advance for any help.
