Beautiful work. How did you make the decals? Or, where did you have them made?

Is the white panel one giant decal or was it painted separately?

I found the answer to my first question inside the thread several pages back: Pappilio waterslide paper.

And I'm deducing that the panels must be painted separately because computer printers don't print white.

You can buy white waterslide paper for inkjet printers.

Yes. The white panels were painted right after primer and before the blue.

I used clear waterslide paper. Works quite well and I'm hoping they will be fairly fade resistant.
They were printed using Epson archival pigment based inks.

Cassave - How do you clean up your joints after brazing and washing off the flux? Any special tools or techniques?

I guess you mean removing excess silver? Nothing special. 150 grit production tape and diemaker's files.
If the joint is brazed correctly there's no much to do after washing off the flux. Just a few passes with the file where the silver was fed into the lug.

Hey, I just found this tread sort of at random, and I have to say, that is the most beautiful bike I have ever seen. I just set it as my desktop background. Even my wife, who can't really tell the difference between one bike and another thought it was very "pretty". Way to go man. I think the lugged steel frame with sort of an old school look, mixed with the new components really has a sharp look to it. In my opinion, you couldn't have gone with a better color. That blue is almost the same as what I wanted to repaint my bike with. I know you have gotten it a lot, but I just wanted to say well done! Enjoy it.

You Make It Look so easy. Outstanding, no words can describe this work of machine and art. Having said that, a couple of questions? Your main fixture/jig, I assume you built this. Very impressive. Any chance of a descripition of how you built it, etc. Also did you full braze in it or just tack? It seems the fixture is free floating enough to braze in it (with proper align checks). Thanks for any info you provide, as I think My fixture/jig in progress will end up very similar to yours. (imitation is the purist form of flattery) Thanks Ted

Yes, I did build all the fixtures and jigs. The main frame jig is as you can see, just some 1/2" AL plate, some toggle vises and a few lengths of hot rolled angle.
I spent alot of time making sure it's coplanar on all the tube locatinf bits (used a large surface plate and height gage etc.)
All brazing is done in the fixturing. The main fixture rotates on a horizontal axis so I can locate the joint for a gravity assist.
