Ballpark price for new dropouts?

Could I get some estimates of $ cost to replace verticle drops with foward facing horizonal drops? Rivendell Bleroit frame. Thanks.

I've been looking to replace my dropouts and have found, through top-end shops like Cyclart, Joe Bell and Spectrum, that $150 is their quoted rate. If not local to you you'll ship for $40 each way. I've seen dropouts (forged, horizontal) ranging from $10 - $50 per pair. You'll likely need some repainting - unknown cost. And I assume you've checked in with the Rivendell crowd for their price for all this.

Thanks for the response. So from $160 to $200 parts and labor, not counting repaint. I hadn't talked to rivendell since I would be purchasing the frame elsewhere. Just trying to figure out the cost so I could use a gearhub instead of a deraileur.

Since you're in Texas, get in touch with Southwest Frameworks in Dallas. I've used them several times for repaints and repairs. They'll take care of you. www.southwestframeworks.com
