my nice bike is at home
I need a one -off ti-frame built from custom plans, if you need a project while you look for something more permanent....

There are a number of Bay area builders but most of them are outside of the SF area. Sycip and Soulcraft are in the Sonoma area; Rock Lobster and Hunter are in Santa Cruz. However, there is one Ti builder located in SF, https://www.ntpbikes.com/ , you might want to check with them.
Remember, though, renting a place in SF is expensive, unless you already have something lined up. Parking is a major headache, too.
