Re-welding a stock frame
This may or may not be the correct forum for such a query but I'll ask anyway. I have a vintage woman's road bike that I was considering changing into a "normal" frame. I was going to undo the top bar on the frame and have it run straight instead of angling into the frame to which it already does. Just curious as to if anyone has preformed such a feature before and if they had any pointers or tips they could offer. Cheers.

I'm not a frame builder or a welder. But I do work with people who weld on a daily basis.
How good are you with a TIG? My guess is that if you're asking this question, you shouldn't be attempting it. Just making the cuts and grinding the frame to prep it for welding would be a pretty big job to me.
