Steerer Tube Length

I am getting an Orbea Team Euskatel(56cm) to attempt to build my first bike, but it is just the frame. I was looking into carbon forks and was wondering if anyone knew about what length I would need to get the steerer tube to be to fit properly?
And advice would help so...

Most forks steerers come in one long length and you just cut it to fit your frame.
